And Away I Go...

Just wanted to let everyone know I will not be posting for the next week. I am flying to Virginia tomorrow morning to have a girls weekend with my sister and my sister-in-law. I can not wait! Please pray for me while I am gone as I am having some severe back pain right now. NOTHING will stop me from going home, but this is def. putting a glitch in things! I look forward to posting all the pictures when I come home!

We Had A Bug!

Sorry I have not posted anyting in a while, we had a bug in our computer! We could not get on to google so I could not post. Here are some pictures of what has been going on...again, sorry for not posting for a while!

I Get PAID For This?

Every time we launch a new animal we always have food and some sort of decorations for the team to wear. We launched the new elephant last week so Angie made us elephant ears and a peanut shaped cake with peanuts on the side! What a awesome place to work!

Jesus Loves the Little Children

This is one of the kids that comes to our children's club on Sunday evenings. His name is Daniel and his little sister Brooke is usually there also. Last Sunday we had our lesson outside since it was such a beautiful day. We got to play Monkey in the Middle and Rooftop! We are so thankful these kids come regularly. Michael and I get a chance to have one on one time with them and we have seen major growth from them. They are currently learning the books of the Bible. I told them once they learn the Old and the New Testaments, I would buy them a Build A Bear!

Book Nerd

Brandon and Emily got Michael this cool stamp to stamp for his books. Brandon and Michael are always exchanging books to read so now they will know which book belongs to the other...what nerds!

This one looks blurry, but it is the best one I could get!

Movie Night

Brandon was out of town last weekend and Emily and Adeline stayed at Mrs. Kathy's house for the weekend. I came over on Saturday and we had a movie night. We watched Becoming Jane (it was good, but kind of slow). Adeline even got to stay up and watch with us!
This is what Adeline did during the movie...she loves to chew on Crocs!

Adventures at Fresh Market

Fresh Market is a really cool little gracery store in the upscale part of Lafayette. Michael and I go there every Sunday after church to get fresh meat and fresh produce. It is too expensive to buy all of our groceries there. We took Emily with us this past Sunday since she had never been. In the picture above, she is getting all dolled up to go into the grocery store!
Picking out some yummy cheese!
Michael and Adeline outside of Fresh Market. Adeline really liked Michael that day!

Game Night

Jeff, Me and Adeline
Not a great picture of Brandon, but it is classic...see the large jar of Jelly Beans in front of him!
Michael, Emily and Rachel
I had to take a picture of the score, ME is Mandi and Emily, BM is Brandon and Michael and Cooks is Rachel and Jeff. If you look closely, you will see that Emily and I did not get our bid, but one time! We started a new game ourselves to see if we could go negative the whole game. The other great thing is team BM lost...if Michael and Brandon our winning we will all gang up against them so the Cooks can win. We always have a great time playing!

First Crawfish!

Michael is learning how to peel the crawfish here...
Not the best picture of Michael, but you get a good look at the crawfish!
Michael and I had our first crawfish since we moved here. It is finally crawfish season and we thought it was time to try it. Michael ordered 4 pounds and he graceously let me have2. Every time I tried to get another one he would smack my hand away. I guess I will have to order my own next time!

Bittersweet Chocolate Pound Cake

I made this pound cake on Friday night when everyone came over for dinner. It turned out so good, I had to take a picture of it. The cake has lots of chocolate and a touch of coffee in it! It was a huge hit and if you want the recipe just let me know!

Thank You Lord!

As most of you know, when Michael and I moved to Louisiana, we sold most of our stuff so it would not cost so much to move. We have replaced most of the stuff we sold, but we still did not have a dryer. We were going to the laundry mat once a week and spending all day there. We had decided we would buy a dryer when we got our tax return. Well, two weeks ago Michael was walking Buster while I was at work and he saw a dryer sitting on the side of the road to be trown away. As he got closer to the dryer he saw it was indeed in good shape. He knocked on the door of the owner and asked it they were going to throw it away and the person told him that it took a really long time to dry stuff and they were just going to buy a new one. Michael asked if he could have it and they said yes. When he got it home, he pluged it up to see if he could fix it and as soon as he turned it on, a huge pile of lint shot out the back of it. It was just clogged with lint and now it works like a dream! Thank you Lord for giving us a dryer!
