Friend Day

We had our first annual Friend Day at Acadian Baptist Chruch on Sunday, and it was a success! I finally got nine of my friends from Build A Bear to come to church. What better day for them to come, but Friend Day. We had 30 people at church on Sunday and some of the regulars were out of town. Brandon preach a clear presentation of the gospel and a few of my co-workers said they would be coming back. We all went out to eat after church and enjoyed some good food and fellowship. I did have my camera with me, but there was so much going on the whole time, I did not even get a chance to snap one picuter. Oh, well, maybe next time. Whenever you think about our church, please pray for my co-workers. None of the ones that cames to church know the Lord, and just pray they will come back and really listen to the sermons. Thank you to those of you who did pray Friend Day would be a success...I will keep you posted on the church!

Sunday Night Tradition

Every Sunday night on our way to church, Emily pleads with the guys to stop at the gas station so she can get an ICEE! She has been craving them lately and I am glad since I happen to love them also. We always layer the coke and the cherry so it makes a cherry coke ICEE!

Happpy Valentin's Day

I know this is late, but I have been kind of busy lately. Michael gave me these pretty flowers for Valentine's Day. I am not usually one that likes getting flowers since they die in a week or two, but I really liked these. I like it when he does something other than roses! We stayed home and made tuna steaks, mashed potatoes, green beans and yummy rolls. I love you Michael and I am glad we can celebrate our love everyday!

Having A Ball

This is what Adeline did the whole time we were playing baseball. She really liked eating the ball!

Relaxing Sunday Afternoon

The weather was so nice on Sunday we decided to play tennis with Jeff and Rachel. We got sick of tennis and started talking about how much fun it is to play wiffle ball. Rachel and I went to Walmart to find a set, but the lady said they were out. We found a T-ball set that was similar to wiffle ball. Brandon and Emily met us at the park and we played a little game. Since their was only 5 of us, I was all time pitcher and it was Rachel and Jeff against Michael and Brandon. They only had to run to one base and back, and you could get someone out by throwing the ball at them. Michael and Brandon won by only a few runs. As you can see by the pictures, we had a lot of fun!

I love this one, you can see all of us!

A Day Away

Michael and I were both off yesterday so we took advantage of the nice weather and went on a hike. We went to Kisatchie National Forest and hiked around Lake Valentine. We took Buster with us and since there was not many people around, Buster got to walk off of his leash the whole time. We all had a nice time and the weather could not have been any better. Once we were finished with our hike, we went and ate at a little Mexican restaurant that was near by. I am thankful for days off!

Buster's Foster Brother

We adopted a new dog for two days. Someone found the dog on the side of the road so we took it. We thought Buster would like to have a brother. Well, Buster liked the new dog, but the new dog did not like Buster very much. We gave the dog to a loving family that did not have any dogs. It was fun while it lasted!
He was really a cute dog

Happy Mardi Gras!

We went to a Mardi Gras parade on Saturday night and boy did we have fun! No, we were not in New Orleans, just Lafayette. All of the schools in the area are off for the whole week just to celebrate Mardi Gras. The parade was pretty cool. Just like any other parade except instead of yelling for them to throw candy, they throw beads! Emily and I started trying to get more than the other. I think I won and she thinks she won! Just remember, I am standing sideways, so you can not see all of my beads!
This is a shot of other people asking for beads!
