Adventures with the Wii fitness!

Sommer and I stayed at Balinda's house in Fort Worth. She just bought a Wii fitness mat and we had a great time playing with it. You really do get a good workout. I told Michael I really wanted one, we will see if he gets me one! The picture above shows Sommer's character

You get to pick if you want a male or female trainer, I of course, chose a MALE!

Warrior Pose

We decided to do Yoga, it was really cool because the mat tells you if you are standing correctly. You have to keep the little red ball in the middle of your torso in a little area so you do the pose correctly. We had so much fun!

Alfredo!

This is Naomi, my cousin Andrea's little girl. She is only 5 years old! She put on a apron and helped me cook dinner.

Me and Naomi, she really liked me!

Aunt Teresa cleaning up after my mess! She is such a sweetie...so glad I got to see her for a day!

Who makes the best Alfredo on earth? The look should tell you the answer!!!!!

Projects for Granny

Sommer and I went to get a album for Granny so she could put pictures from Uncle Steve's retirement party and from Jesse and Jen's recent visit.

Last year Granny got this huge frame that could hold enough 4x6 photos for her great grand children. She asked everyone to send her pictures of their kids. She had some of the pictures already in there, but the project was incomplete for over a year. While Sommer and I were there we decided we would finish this very tedious job for her. It took us almost all day long to finish it, but it is finally complete. Barry told Granny he would hang it for her. She was so happy we got all of the pictures put in it for her!

Saying Goodbye

Sommer and I really enjoyed our visit with Granny. It went by too fast!

Blogging Leave of Absence

Sorry I have not posted in a while, we have been so busy lately. I have not even had my camera with me for the last 2 weeks. Things are going really well. Our churh is growing. We had a record attendance on Mother's Day, 51 people! God is really working at Acadian Baptist Church, thank you so much for the prayers!

My sister, Sommer, is flying in today for an extended weekend. I can not wait to go pick her up! We will be staying here in Louisiana today and going to church tomorrow morning. Then we are headed to Texas to see our Granny. I can not wait to spend time with my sister and Granny. That being said...pictures are soon to follow! I will not let so much time go by next time.

Trash Lady

We were cleaning up after Sunday evening church and we found Adeline digging in the trash. We had spaghetti noodles on the top of the trash and Adeline was helping herself to a nice after dinner snack. She is getting so big and getting into more and more mischief everyday. Emily has her work cut out for her daily!

Look what we have here...looks like dinner

Hmmm...I don't think anyone is wathing me, I think I will have a little taste
This is her going back for seconds, she likes what she tasted!

Crawfish Festival 2008

We went to the Crawfish Festival this past weekend in Breaux Bridge (pronounced Bro Bridge). We had a nice day. It was very hot that day, but not as humid as the norm. We planned to go on Friday evening, but it rained all night so we went Saturday afternoon. We got to see a Crawfish eating contest. We did not stay for the whole time, but they said last years winner ate 52 pounds of crawfish in 45 minutes! That is some serious peeling action going on! We looked at all the little shops and then we made our way over to the fair. Brandon, Michael and Adeline ate funnel cake while Emily and I rested on a bench. Emily is very pregnant right now and needed to rest every now and then. I am glad she was such a trooper on such a hot day! Overall, we had a good time despite the heat. Next up...The Shrimp and Petroleum Festival in September...Good Times!
Had to get a group shot of everyone!
They were selling frozen cheesecake dipped in chocolate...I could not resist!
I Love this picture of Emily and Adeline

Crawfish Eating Contest

Adeline wanted to see all of the action!
She is looking back at her Mommy and Daddy!
Notice the lady with the rain coat on...she has to wear that so the juice does not get on her clothes!
Here they go...

Ring of Fire!

Michael and Brandon decided they wanted to ride this ride. I think half of the reason they wanted to ride it was for the name alone, they both like Johnny Cash!
This is what the ride looked like, it slowly starts going upside down. No thank you!
They are almost upside down in this one...can you see Brandon holding onto the railing for dear life?
It is finally over, they look relieved
Michael looks so proud of himself in this picture. Yes, that is a Dunder Mifflin T-shirt. Everyone at the Festival made lots of comments about it!

Cajun Sno

There is this little shack in Lafayette called Cajun Sno, it has the best sno cones in town. We went there on Saturday after the festival. Emily has been craving a chocolate cream sno cone with cream on top. I thought it sounded discusting, but it was not that bad! If you look close, you can see the cream on top!
Brandon got wedding cake cream and Michael got a blackberry sno cone. Adeline LOVED them both, here they are seeing which one she will pick. She picked the Blackberry!
Mmmmm...Blackberry!
